Summary of the poem
If you want to
see the sunshine’s, you have to weather the storm.
The
poem “Peace” is gleaned by the pen of a German poetess, Dr. Silvia
Hartmann.
She has worked and lived in united kingdom
since 1978. In 2011 Hartmann. launched "Next generation emotional
techniques". She is also a modern energy researcher. Steel lord, city in
the sky, mother spider and solace are her famous poems.
This is a metaphorical , thought-provoking and
moralizing poem, the poetess has described the negative as well as positive
aspect of wind which is disastrous. When
in frenzy of rage but most of the time gentle, innocent, calm and peaceful.
The
poetess has beautifully described the psychology and spiritual sciences. She
describes the opposite aspects of wind. When the wind comes in the form of gale,
it smashes and destroys everything. The storm is like monster and evil spirit that destroys every beautiful
thing. But when the wind becomes passionate, gentle and cool it delivers lives
to all human beings. Although the wind is personified as a cruel monster or
demon. It destroys everything mercilessly. It shatters everything. At the end
the poetess has narrated the graceful aspect of nature. The reality of the wind
lies in its affection and peace. Its whispering make everything beautiful. The
poetess conveys a good message through this poem. She says that appearances are
always deceptive. Real truth is often hidden under some hard surface. We have
to face many challenges, problems, troubles hardships, hurdle and difficulties
in practical life. All these hardships make us courageous, bold and successful.
They guide us to real truth and eternal peace. It is upto us to learn a good or
bad lesson from them. It teaches to experience storm enjoying peace as there is
a proverb.
Every
black cloud has a silver lining.
