SUMMARY "Try Again"
“Our
greatest weakness Lies in giving up.
The most certain way to succeed is always to
try just one more time”.
This
poem is written by Willaim Edward Hickson. He studied
in England and Germany. He wrote an
improved version of British National
Anthem. "Time and Faith" The singing master are his famous poems.
This poem
gives us a universal message. The poet conveys us a very golden rule of
success. We should keep on trying again and again till success. We should not
lose heart in every tough situation. Our continuous struggle will give us new
spirit of hope and courage.Hurdles can not keep us away from success. We should
not fear from the ups and downs of life. If we follow the principle of trying
again and again , we would become brave,
courageous and respectable. If someone is failed once or twice, he should not
be discouraged. He should not feel ashamed. The poet encourages such person to
carry on his struggle. If we find our task hard we should not give up our
patience we should try again and again. One day our hard working will give us
reward in the form of success. It is an oft seen spectacle that many people
lose their heart when they face failure for the first time. They do not think
that failure does not mean the game is nover.It means trying again with
experience gained from the previous failure. This is the reason that the poet
wants to give to us through the poem.
The simple
and spontaneous mood of expression has made the poem adorable. The musical
quality of the poem is appealing. The poet has conveyed his message in a
didactic manner. The diction simply suits the spontaneous flow of the peom.
