ESSAY NO.1: “MY LAST DAY AT SCHOOL”
School is a sacred place.
It educates the young people. It is a place where the concrete foundations of a
nation are laid down. Apparently, it imparts education, but secretly it grooms
the young generation for life and its weighty responsibilities. It is natural
for humans to love the place, where they spend some time. Children spend a
substantial part of their lives in schools. Therefore, they love their schools
like their homes. They develop an emotional association with their schools.
Moreover in school, the students live like a family. It is very difficult for them
to separate from each other. But a day comes when they have to desert the
school and all its charms. It is the time of real sadness for them. However,
they pass this ordeal with great patience. I remember my last at school. It was
a pleasant day of the “3rd March, 1982.” “I’ve always loved the
first day of the school better than the last day of school. Firsts are best
because they beginnings”.
The school hall was
decorated. A platform was raised and chairs arranged in many rows. I had been
the monitor of my class. I was also given a place in the first row soon, the
hall was full. The occasion was highly emotional. All the outgoing students
looked very serious. Everyone seemed to be missing the school days on the one
hand and looking forwards into the unknown land of failure, all uncertain and
vague. No doubt, the new life, that is college life, seemed more glamorous
ahead of us but taking the responsibilities of new life seemed more difficult.
It was a gloomy day for me and my class
mates. My friends and I were aware of the grim reality that we were about to
leave the school forever. This separation was so painful, sad and depressing,
for all of us.
“School may be hard annoying and
irritating. But admit it; you are going to miss it when it ends”.
Our stay, we had been so excited and
cheerful. Any idea that a day would come to separate as like that. Some of us
were so emotional that they started weeping. Some had tears in their eyes but
they controlled themselves. We decided to depart in the same joyful mood as we
had been living there for the last five years. First of all, we planned to meet
our teachers. We obtained their autographs in our diaries. After this, we had a
round of the school to see every corner and nook of it. The principal presided
over the function. Since, the examination was at hand so we could hardly lose
any item in making long speeches and unnecessary formalities. The principal
spoke for ten minutes. He recalled the years long associated of the outgoing
class with rest of the school and exhorted other class to follow the example of
our class in the best traditions of the school.
There was a tea party. The students of the 9th
class were host to it. I was told to speak a few words other while I did. But
soon my heart began to throb at the idea of parting. I recalled how, we had
read, played and sat together. How we were displeased at one moment and were
the same friends at next. “Sometimes, at home I talk in my sleep, but at
school, I sleep while others are talking.”
Speaking at such functions was a maiden
experience in my life. The hosts gave us a farewell speech. The monitor of
their class, Ayesha spoke highly of us. She recalled the guidance which we had
been giving them from time to time. She said that thought we were parting from
the school this year yet they would join us next year in this great school of
life world. Party over, a group photograph was arranged. We were free now. I
deposited my borrowed books with the library and got a clearance certificate.
The joyful attitude of my heart gave place to anxiety and seriousness. It was
the time to say good bye to each other. We embraced each other for the long
time. Some of us could not control themselves and began to weep bitterly.
“Never say good bye because saying good bye
means going away and going away means for getting.”
ESSAY NO.2: “Sports and Games”
The
games are just a nice, positive way to build friendships, camaraderie and of
course, self-esteem. Plus, the games are a great opportunity for people to
participating in sports that normally won’t.
In the past sports were regarded as the
outdoor recreational pastimes, such as fishing, shooting and hunting etc. on
the other hand , games were regarded as organized contest played by the team or
individuals according to certain rules. However, the distinction between sports
and games disappeared with the passage of time. The two terms are now often
used, interchangeably. Sports and games play a major role in keeping person fit
and fine. Furthermore, it increases the blood flow in the entire body. So this
help in keeping the heart in best conditions. Moreover, the immunity of the
body increases by playing outdoor sports. Also, it helps in keeping your body
fat percentage low. This makes the appearance of body better and makes a person
good looking.
“To keep the body in good health is a duty,
otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.”
Games are common to all
cultures and countries. They have gained cardinal importance in physical and
recreational activities. Games like chess, card games increase the mental
health of a person as it develops spontaneity and response time of a person. As
a result person’s mind can make a decision under pressure. Thus, this helps in
increasing the IQ of a person and its presence of mind. The people play games
either to have fun or to develop mental and physical skills. Games make the
people disciplined, active, energetic and sharp. They contribute a lot to make
men handsome and smart. Their worth has been recognized at national and international
levels. In educational institutions, they have been declared as a part of
curriculum.
“Sports and games are one of the most
integral parts of one’s life.”
Some sports need
individual participation, while some require teamwork. Thus, sports enlist teamwork
in a person, which is essential in every fieldwork. A company can only run by
working together and not individually. So, it is important for a person to know
how to work together, in a team. Only then you can achieve the desired goal.
Sports can bring a change to your day to day routine. It can relieve you from
stress as your body will experience a change. It gives your mind a boost of
enthusiasm and happiness. As a result, it will fill you with energy for the
next day.
“Sports and games are physical activities
that provide sense of enjoyment.”
Some games such as
football, cricket and hockey have won enormous popularity in this era. The
youth of today wants to assert themselves. They want some outlet for the
presentation of their unrivalled faculties. Games and sports provide them with
plenty of such opportunities. But they may be dangerous, because any injury can
occur while playing these sports. Therefore, we should wear proper safety gear
before, playing it. Moreover it can be harmful if you’re playing it while you
are sick. Games make people disciplined. They learn to obey and uphold laws.
Games promote the team spirit in players. They keep them united. They learn how
to cooperate. The players forget their tiny difference, for a common cause. They
show an infinite patience in their doings.
“Sports and games widen the mental horizon
of players and make them issue followers of the rule of law.”
There is a dark of the
picture also. Games may cause certain harms. Sometimes the players do ignore
the rules of decency, for their own victory. They aim to win game by hook or
crook. They practice illegal and immoral tricks to this end. Second, too much
interest in games may spoil some intelligent students. They may ignore their
studies to become good athletes. In this way they become neither good student,
nor good athletes. In order to play any sport, you have to take out time from
your daily schedule. This may be difficult for some people. As they work day
and night to fulfill the needs, of their family. So, a person needs to out off
some things from their busy, schedule to take out time to play a sport.
“You child’s success or lack of success in
sports does not indicate what kind of parent you are. But having an athlete
that is coachable, respectful, a great teammate mentally tough, resilient and
tries his best is a direct reflection of your parenting.”
ESSAY NO.3: “MY HOUSE”
“Home is
the restore of love joy, peace and plenty where supporting and supported,
polished friends and dearest relatives mingle into bless.”
The world consists of all
types of people. Some are fortunate enough to have amenities while some are
not. Especially in a country like India where is the majority of the population
lives below the poverty line. To own a house here is no less than a luxury, one
which I thankfully have. I am blessed to be protected by four walls, and a
roof. It is my parent’s hard work that has given us this blessing. Many people
in today’s world are always complaining about things they don’t have. The
person who has a house wants a bungalow, wants a palace. The one wh0 is living
in a palace wants an island. This never-ending cycle goes on. However, if we
look at the people below us rather than those who are above us, we will be
happier.
“My home is heaven; I’m
just travelling through this world.”
Having a house is an
underrated blessing. If you haven’t realized it yet, you can go and ask any
person who doesn’t have a house. Only then will you realize what a great
blessing it is to have a house. Houses don’t necessarily have to be luxuriously
filled with the latest amenities. A house is complete if you have a roof over
your head. Moreover, if you have your loved ones around, then there can be no
greater blessing. You must realize the importance of your house before it gets
too late.
“It takes hand to build a
house, but only hearts can build a home.”
My house is situated on
the bank of a big canal. The scenery around it is incredibly splendid, huge
shady trees are surrounding the white building of my house. Its environment is
quiet and calm. It stands away from hue and cry of city life. Its building is
wonderful clean and spacious. We built our house five years ago. We took
special care about the building material used in its construction. The covered
area of my house is “800” yards. The whole house is airy and sunny. It has a
drawing room, a T.V lounge, two guest rooms, five bed rooms, a study room
Kitchen and a dining hall. The walls of my house are painted white. The
beautiful white slabs of marble are fitted on the floors. The doors and windows
are made of beautiful wood. The whole of the house is furnished with beautiful
furniture. Some pictures hanging on the walls of drawing room are really
stunning and classical. Two beautiful antique swords are also hanging there. The
study room has a library and two computers. I love to sit and study there. It
is very quiet and peaceful there.
“My house is very calm and
beautiful place and is full of positive energy.”
A green front lawn and
back garden of my house are particularly beautiful. The thick green mistletoe
covering the front wall of the house enhances the beauty of house. The soft
tidy and trimmed grass in the front lawn looks like a green velvety floor. In
the back garden of my house there are mango, lemon, orange and banana trees.
There bloom various colours in the front lawn and the back garden of my house.
It is truly underrated blessing which is over-looked by others. We must value
our homes before get too late.
“The happiest moments of
my life are few which I pass at my house with blossom of my family.”
ESSAY NO.4: “COURTESY”
“Courtesy
is a science of highest importance. It is like grace and beauty in body, which
charms at first sight and leads on to further intimacy and friendship.”
Courtesy means gentle and
polite behaviors in dealing with people in our day to day li8fe. It is an act
of civility and good manners. Courtesy is a great virtue in a man’s life.
Courtesy demands one to be modest, tasteful and decent in his talking to and behavior
with others. Courtesy is the gift of treating others with warmth and respect.
It means according dignity to people by being considerate, responsive and kind
in our dealings with them.
“Courtesy is just a way of
showing people that we have respect for them.”
Courtesy may be set in
contrast with tyranny. If tyranny is the great evil, courtesy is the cardinal
virtue of society. As tyranny is the roots of al vices, courtesy is the spring
of all virtues. Courtesy is common to all regions of the world. All the regions
propagate morality and courtesy. Courtesy has been the foundation stone of all
socials, cultural and political movements. Therefore, the most sacred duty of
humans is to practice and teach courtesy. People should be motivated to improve
their conduct and treatment with others. Their dealing with the people should
be just and polite. Therefore, the prime purpose of education should be to make
human courteous well- mannered and polite. Courtesy costs nothing but plays a
lot in return. A courteous person is liked and loved by all. This type of men
remains very popular among his friends and relatives. Everybody have
willingness to help him in the time of need. These well behaved courteous
people are the foundation of good society and nation. But these days the number
of these types of people is less. That is why our society is suffering a lot
from ill antisocial creates great atmosphere of living with coherence. Most of
the people whom we come across everyday are generally arrogant, impatient and self-centered.
They neither love other nor are loved by any of them.
“No one is more
insufferable than he who lacks basic courtesy.”
The elders, seniors and
parents have big role to make our society and nation courteous and well-behaved
by imparting and building the Para-meters of good behavior and courtesy in
younger subordinate and children respectively. Teachers have also great role to
model our students on right path of courtesy. The value of courtesy must be
kept at the priority level in the schools. It has a monitoring process and
regulation from government side to create healthy society. Courtesy could be
propagated spreading them throughout the world. It could also be taught by
delivering sermons. All the prophets of “ALLAH” adopted this method. They
taught courtesy in their sermons. They themselves were the embodiments of
courtesy. Their deeds and manners were so impressive that the people were
attracted to them. Therefore, courtesy, politeness, and kindness are the
qualities of prophets. These qualities can motivate the people to mend through
thoughts and deeds. There are many benefits of being polite and courteous.
First, courtesy brings us tremendous satisfaction and profound joy. Second,
courteous people become popular not only with humans but also with animals.
Third they could be the best preachers of the world. They could propagate their
thoughts and ideas easily.
‘’Kindness is a language
which a deaf can hear and a blind can see.’’
They could fetch everyone
to them. Our Holy prophet said, “The best amongst is the one whose manners are
the best.” Courtesy is such a great virtue that it can the enemies turn into
friends. We should preach courtesy in the society.
‘’A tree is known by its
fruits; a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost; he who sows courtesy,
reaps friendship and he who plants kindness gathers love.’’
ESSAY NO.6: “LIBRARIES”
“Libraries
store the energy that fuels the imagination they open up windows to the world
and inspire us to explore and achieve and contribute to improving our quality
of life.”
A library is a place where
books and sources of information are stored. They make it easier for people to
get access to them for various purposes. They contain a variety of materials.
They contain printed materials, film, maps and other media. In other words,
they are an all-encompassing source of information. Libraries play a vital role
in providing people with reliable content. They encourage and promote the
process of learning and grasping knowledge. The prime purpose of a library is
to provide access to knowledge and information to fulfill this mission; the
libraries preserve a valuable record of culture. Then they pass down this to
coming generation. Therefore, they essentially link the past to present and
future.
“The reading of all good
books is like a conversation with the finest man of past centuries.”
Libraries are a great
platform for making progress. The libraries provide the people with information
they need to work, and learn. The people use library resources in their work.
They also use library resources to giant information about their personal
interests. Sometimes, they obtain recreational materials such as films and
novels. The students use libraries to enhance their classroom experiences. The
libraries help the students to develop good reading and study habits. It is
also helpful in our overall development. Furthermore, they help the people to
get their hands on great educational material which they might not find
otherwise in the market. When we read more, our social skills and academic
performance improves. In short, libraries are a great place to gain k
knowledge. They serve each person differently.
“Libraries have always
been among the most thoughtful and helpful people. They are teachers without a
classroom.”
Libraries provide
authentic and reliable sources of information for researchers. They are able to
complete their papers and carry out their studies using the material present in
a library. Furthermore, libraries are a great place for studying alone or even
in groups, without any disturbance. A library is very useful platform that
brings together people willing to learn and expanding their knowledge. We
develop our reading habits from a library and satisfy our thirst and curiosity
for knowledge. This help in the personal growth of a person and development.
“The library is the temple
of learning and learning has liberated more people than all the wars in
history.”
No single library can
contain the information of every type different types of libraries exist to
meet different needs. Libraries fall into six basic categories. They serve all
the members of the general public. Second, there are school libraries. They
serve the students and faculty at school level. Third, there are college and
university libraries. They serve the students in higher education. Fourth,
there are research libraries. They meet cord the needs of the advanced
scholars. Fifth, there are special libraries. They help various organization,
industries and governmental agencies and departments. The libraries play a very
important role for the propagation of education. Therefore, the libraries
should be set up on large scale. But, the world has become digitized, it is now
easier to browse through a library and get what you, re looking for libraries
also provide employment opportunities to people fair pay and incredible working
conditions. We must not give up libraries due to the digital age. Nothing can
ever replace the authenticity and reliability one gets from a library.
“In my fool hardy youth
when my friends were dreaming of heroic deeds in the realms of engineering and
law finance and national politics i dreamt of becoming a librarian.”
“A true Muslim is one who
doesn’t defame or abuse others; but a truly righteous becomes a refuge for
mankind, their lives and their properties.”
Religion has been of
pivotal significance since the start of civilization. Islam is a true religion.
It is also a complete code of life. The followers of Islam are called the
“Muslims.” A true Muslim is the one who follows the principles of Islam fully.

“Don’t show the face of
Islam to others; instead show your face as the followers of true Islam
representing character, knowledge, tolerance and piety.”
A true Muslim has regard
for his neighbour. He never does anything that goes against their interests. He
respects their rights. He shares their joys and sorrows. He is interested in
their welfare and happiness. He does his best to help them wherever he can. He
is always prepared to sacrifice his own interests for the sake of his
neighbour. He is well-behaved. He is graceful in everything that he does. He
tries to be sweet to others. He isn’t selfish. A true Muslim seeks knowledge and
acts upon it. He leads a life of diligence, discipline and deep study. He
learns from the lap of his mother to his grave. He is always broadminded. He
ponders over the secrets of nature. He ever struggles to discover the hidden
treasures of the universe.
“I lead no party, I follow
no leader. I have given the best part of my life to careful study of Islam, its
law and policy, its culture, its history and its literature.” (AlamaIqbal)
He never feels hesitant in
adopting and utilizing the modern technology. He is a man of rare qualities of
head and heart. He is symbol of integrity and honesty. Even his worst enemies
admit that he is not purchasable. He is reliable, loveable and social able.
Consideration for others is the main aim of his life. In short, he possesses
all the positive and constructive qualities and proves himself to be what a
true Muslim should be.
“A Muslim is not born to
give up; if he is forced to be enslaved he will emerge as Sultan Tipu. He can
happily embrace martyrdom but will never accept slavery.”
ESSAY NO.8: “HEALTH”
“Health is the greatest gift,
contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the best relationship”
Health was earlier said to
be the ability of the body functioning well. However, as time evolved, the
definition of health also evolved. It can’t be stressed enough that health is
the primary thing after which everything else follows. When you maintain good
health, everything else falls into place. It is a great blessing of ALLAH. A
healthy man enjoys the beauties of nature. He leads a happy and delightful
life. Nothing can rejoice or relax an ailing man. Such a man loses all the
charms of life. Life becomes dull, drab and dreary for him. He him-self becomes
an unbearable burden on others. Sometimes, he desires to die to avoid the pangs
of such a painful life. Therefore, nothing is more precious than health.
Maintaining good health is dependent on a lot of factors. It ranges from the
air you breath to the type of people you choose to spend your time.
“Health is like money, we
never have a true idea of its value until we lose it.”
It is said that health is
wealth. So, we should pay an almost heed to the maintenance of our physical
health. This means being fit physically and in the absence of any kind of
disease or illness. When you have good physical health, you will have a longer
life span. One may maintain their physical health by having a balanced diet. Do
not miss out on the essential nutrients; lake each of them in appropriate
quantities. Good food, calm atmosphere, fresh air, pure water, regular physical
exercise and better sanitary conditions are the bare essential for health. You
must exercise daily. It may be for ten minutes only but never miss it. It will
help your body maintain physical health. Moreover, don’t consume junk food all
the time. Don’t smoke or drink as it has serious harmful consequences. Try to
take adequate sleep regularly instead of using your phone. Take part in all
good physical activities. Sports, games and morning walk are such activities.
These factors make a man healthy, fit, active and smart. It is as important as
good food.
“Health is the crown on
the good person’s head that only the ill person can see.”
Subsequently, social
health and cognitive health are equally important for the overall well-being of
a person. A person can maintain their social health when they effectively
communicate well with others. Moreover, when a person attends social
gatherings, he will definitely have good social health. Similarly, our
cognitive health refers to performing mental process effectively. To do that
well, one must always eat healthy and play brain games like chess, Puzzles and
more to sharpen the brain. This health alone is not everything. There is this
stigma that surrounds mental health. People do not take mental illnesses
seriously. To be completely fit, one must also be mentally fit. When people
completely discredit mental illnesses, it creates a negative impact. For
instance, you never tell a person with cancer to get over it and that it’s all
someone dealing with depression. Similarly, we should treat mental health the
same as physical health. Thus we need to be able to recognize the sings of
mental illnesses. A laughing person does not equal a happy person. We must not
consider mental illnesses as a taboo and give it the attention it deserves to
save people’s life.
“Calm mind brings inner
strength and self-confidence, so that’s very important for good health.”
The improvement of health
of the entire population is the first and foremost duty of the government. The
government should protect the public from the environment health hazards.
Better sanitary condition should be ensured. Good food, pure water and clean
atmosphere should be ensured. The government should educate the public about
health. It should provide the people with high-quality health services.
“You spend your time to
make a dime. You lose your health to make your wealth, but at the end it is
funny because you leave back all your money.”
ESSAY NO.9: “QUAID-E-AZAM”
“Pakistan not only means freedom
and independence but the Muslim Ideology which has to be preserved, which has
come to us as a precious gift and treasure and which we hope other will share
with us.”
Muhammad Ali Jinnah
(Quaid-e-Azam) was the founder of Pakistan. He was an incarnation of sincerity,
selflessness, sacrifice and sympathy. He worked earnestly for the establishment
of Pakistan. He was born on December”25, 1876” in a house known as Wazir
Mansion located in Karachi. His father, name was “Jinnah Poonja” and mother was
“Mithibai” he belonged to a merchant family. He was a great politician and a
well-known lawyer of his time. He struggled a lot for the freedom of the
Muslims of sub-continent on behalf of his extraordinary affairs; he was
rewarded with the title of “Quaid-e-Azam” (The father of his nation) by
MaulanaMazharuddin. He received his early education in his native city Karachi.
Then he proceeded to England for higher education. He was a born-fighter. As a
student, he struggled very hard. He had been a brilliant student throughout his
academic career. His motto was “work, work and more work.” After his return
from England, he started practising as a lawyer in Bombay. In the beginning, he
could not become a successful lawyer. But he did not lose his heart in the face
of adverse circumstances. He went on struggling for years. As last, his
dedication and diligence brought him the sweet fruit of success. He became one
of the leading lawyer of India then he took interest in politics. Once the
advocate general of Bombay invited him to work for his Bar and after six months
offered a salary of 1500 rupees per month, which was the huge amount at that
time but he gently refused the offer and stated that he planned to earn 1500
daily and proved it possible in future by his flawless efforts. But as a,
Governor General of newly state Pakistan, he fixed 1 rupee as his monthly
salary. He was the man of the judiciary and sensible personality. He was a man
of his words and the greatest spokesman; he always stood like a rock in front
of opponents and never lay down.
“Don’t believe in taking
the right decision. I take a decision and make it right.”
Jinnah started his
political career with India National congress in “1906”. He was a great advocate of the Hindu-Muslim
unity. But soon, he realized the hypocritical attitude of the Hindus.
Therefore, he resigned from the congress and joined the Muslim league. Then, he
started his efforts for the freedom of Muslims of British India and planned to
create an independent state where Muslims could feel the breath of freedom. The
major strength was the unity of all Muslims organizations in this freedom war,
and it is the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam which unites all the Muslims of the
sub-continent on the same agenda of having a separate state. The creation of the
Pakistan is the result of bloodshed of thousands of freedom fighters, as well
as the leadership of Jinnah.
“(In 1930 he said)
If you want to make this
great state of Pakistan happy and prosperous, we should wholly and solely
concentrate on the well-being of the people, especially of the masses and the
poor. If you will work in co-operation, for gelling the past, burying the
hatchet, you are bounded to success.”
In 1930, he became an
undisputed leader of all the Muslims of sub-continent and started to lead
Muslim league in 1933. In 1940, Pakistan resolution was drafted by Muslim
league at Minare-Pakistan in Lahore which has been proved as a back bone in the
war of freedom. After the Pakistan resolution passed, he worked day and night
and did not worry about his health which was given down day to day.
“Remember the difference between a boss and
leader; a boss says go a leader says let’s go!”
He kept it secret and
never disclosed it to anyone; his sacrifice was not for his own interest but
for the whole Muslim nation. It was due to his wise leadership and vigorous
effort that Pakistan came into being on August “14, 1947.” He was fighting with
tuberculosis for many years but never made it his weakness, died on September
“11, 1948.” Just 13 months after the creation of his beloved home land.
“My guiding principle will
be justice and complete impartiality and I am sure that with your support and cooperation,
I can look forward to Pakistan becoming one of the greatest nations of the
world (Quaid-e-Azam).”
ESSAY NO.10: “MY FAVORITE BOOK”
“Books
give a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and
life to everything.”
Books are really a superb
source of knowledge. They soothe us in sorrows and solace us in sadness. They
are an invaluable asset for humans. They prove to be sincere companions in
solitude and seclusion. Our character building depends mainly upon the right
selection of books. People read books to feed their mind that is hungry for
knowledge. I am book lover and I love reading lots of books. I have a list of
my favorite books. But one book is very close to me and it’s a Holy book in the
religion of Islam. The Holy Quran is the last script of ALLAH. The Holy Quran
is the sacred book of the Muslims. The word “Quran” means “reading.” It is a
book not written by human being. It was sent for human guidance by ALLAH
Almighty, through our last Prophet (S.A.W.W). Hazrat Gabriel was used to
carrying the message of God. It is the book widely read in the world.
“The Quran is the only
book where the author is in love with the reader.”
The Holy Quran is divided
into 30 Paras and 144 surahs. Each surah contains a different number of verses.
Out of 144 surahs 86 were revealed at Makkah and 28 at Madinah. The opening
chapter of the book is regarded with special reverence by the Muslims. It is
called a “Surah Fateh”. It contains seven verses. We recite it in our prayers.
The Holy Quran provides a complete code of life. Every corner of life is
discussed in it with detail. It tells us what is right and what is wrong. It
teaches us truth, non-violence, love, meditation, compassion etc. it also
teaches us love for neighbours and self-sacrifice. This Holy book is a sort of
history. There are the stories of old nation n in it an exhaustive discussion
on belief, worship, business and morality in the subject-matter of the Holy
Quran. There are also some surprising things that have been discussed in the
Quran and the current science has proved them now.
“While you are reading the
Holy Quran you’re being advised by ALLAH such a beautiful and warm feeling.”
The Holy Quran is written
in Arabic which is a very forceful language. Its style is highly impressive and
appealing. It is so perfect and lofty that neither men nor Jinn can produce a
single verse similar to it. The book wasn’t sent for the Arabs alone, but for
the whole world without distinction of color creed or caste. The book is our
best guide. It is full of wisdom, truth, facts, philosophy, beauty, grace and
love. This book covers all the aspects of life and gives guidance on all
topics. It is a divine sacred book for the spiritual, social and personal
guidance of human being. This book is unchanged and still carrying the same
content. That’s why Islamic scholars tell “The Holy Quran is the perfect
solution of life.”
“Holy Quran is a wealth
that no wealth can equal it, and there will be no poverty after it.”
The Holy Quran is an
everlasting book. ALLAH has declared in the Holy book that it is He who is
responsible for his safety. This is why no one has succeeded as yet to alter
even the smaller verse of the Holy Book. It was compiled during the caliphate
of “HazratUsman (R.A.)” who was interested in its compilation. The “Arabs” and
other signs were put on the Holy book by the two disciples of Hazrat “Ali
(R.A.)” under his guidance. Many Muslims learn this voluminous book by heart.
They are called “Hafiz-e-Quran.” This is a miracle of this book. Overall, the
Holy Quran is the solution for a complete life. Therefore, we should recite the
Holy Quran daily.
“This is the book about
which there is no doubt, guidance for those who are conscious of ALLAH.”
ESSAY NO.11: “MY AMBITION”
“Ambition is more than mere desire. It is desire plus incentive, determination and will to achieve the desire.”
It is a well-known fact
that a person without an aim is a person without a life. All the creatures in
this universe have one or other specific aim. It is common for all things. As
the human is the best creature among them all, he has given a right to select
that what he wants to do in his life. The mindset of each and every person is
of its own type. Therefore, his aim of life will also be different from others.
In a general term purpose or goal is an aim. A person in his childhood might
want to be famous astronaut or a movie star or a police officer or something
like that. Aim means to intend, to try, or to aspire. Each aim generally starts
with a declaration of a setting the goal, then breaking it in to smaller pieces
over a set timelines thus; to achieve it one has to overcome many obstacles and
setbacks from time to time.
“Ambition believes in you
even when no one else in the world does.”
There is a popular saying
that a man without an aim is like a aim without rudder facing danger. Thus,
similarly a man without aim cannot reach towards his goal of life. He stumbles
in his way of life. Certainly, it is done by finding out what truly matters to
you. Your purpose is to show others how you can live your life in the best
possible manner. Different people have different aims. Some persons may want to
become a doctor while others may want to start his own business. Likewise, if
engineering appeals to some, the army man be the attraction for others. Some
aim at becoming a teacher while social services or politics suit other. So,
different people adopt different aims according to their indication or taste or
perception about life.
“A dream without ambition
is like a car without gas ………. You are not going anywhere.”
It is the responsibility
of the parents and the teachers to persuade their wards to select a profession
according to their aptitude. So, we should be very cautious while deciding on our
aim. Certainly, this is most difficult problem that a young man faces in the
selection of profession. The person does not choose his aim rightly; he will be
always misfitted in his life. Thus, the best aim would be one in which one
feels happy always and he can do something worthwhile. Also, at the same time,
he ensures about bright prospectus in life. Thus, it is a fact that setting an
aim and acting to achieve it is very important for a successful life. It
motivates us. It forces us to be hardworking, honest, punctual and steadfast in
our efforts. Every person decides at some point what he wants to become. And in
this era of modernization, I wish to do a master’s information technology. A
great reduction has been brought by information technology in various fields of
life. It has modernized our life and changed our attitudes. It has converted
the world into a global village.
“Right aim means right
life and the wrong aim means wrong life.”
Instant and swiftest means
of communications have changed our life-style altogether. The reason why I want
to be an expert In information technology. First of all, it is the need of the
hour. This field is the most popular and emerging branch of contemporary
knowledge. After the 11 September catastrophe of the USA, Islam has become the
most widely discussed issue throughout the world. The anti-Islamic propaganda
campaign is flourishing through various media. Being a Muslim, it is my duty to
defend my religion. This I can do effectively and forcefully by information
technology. This will help me in preaching my religion and removing miss
conceptions about it. It will also become a source of my cordial and spiritual
satisfaction. I have chosen this profession only keeping in view the sensitive
and serious nature of the issue. By adopting this profession, I would be able
to refute all charges falsely leveled against Islam. Besides this, I would be
able to attract the non-Muslims towards Islam through the internet and e-mails.
I work day and night to achieve my goal. I am sure that after four years, I
will become a competent master in information technology. I have special
aptitude and talent for this field. May ALLAH help me in achieving my aim and
keeping my intentions in the right way (Ameen)!
“The aim of life is
self-development to realize one’s nature perfectly that is what each of us in
here for.”
ESSAY NO.12: “MY HOBBY”
“Hobbies are great distractions
from the worries and troubles that plague daily living.”
Hobby is something that we
do mere for joy and delight. Hobbies play a very important role in our lives.
They occupy our minds when we are free and also make us happy. Hobbies are our
escape from the real world that makes us forget our worries. Moreover, they
make our lives interesting and enjoyable. If we look at it, all our hobbies are
very useful for us. They teach us a lot of things about different stuff. They
also help in expanding our knowledge. In today’s fast and competitive world, we
often get time for ourselves. Over time, our schedule gets very dull and monotonous.
That is why we need to indulge in something in between to keep our minds fresh
and active. What’s better than a hobby for this? One of the main benefits of
having a hobby is that it is a major stress-buster. You actually enjoy doing it
and it satisfies your soul. In other words, without a hobby your life becomes
an unhealthy cycle locking any excitement or spark. Hobbies offer you great
opportunities to take a break and forget the worries of your life. They allow
you to explore yourself and realize your potential, in different areas.
Moreover, hobbies can also be a source of extra income.
“Hobbies are for wimps who
don’t have the guts to follow their passions.”
For instance, if you like
painting, you can actually sell your art to make some extra money. Likewise, if
you have a knack for dancing, you may teach dance classes to people on your
holidays. This way your hobby will benefit you both spiritually and financially
as well as different people adopt different hobbies according to their
interests. If I were to pick a favorite hobby of mine all of the money I have,
I will definitely pick gardening. I have made a lawn in front and a garden at
the back of my house. In the garden, there are many kinds of trees. Many kinds
of flowers bloom in the garden. These flowers show different shades of colours.
They give of sweet smell and present a beautiful view. Green trees, grassy lawn
and flowers of various colours add to the beauty of my house.
“Gardening also taints you
to think ahead and care for other living organisms, responsibly. Truly infinite
are the life lessons this hobby has to offer.”
The fluttering leaves and
the dancing braches of the trees attract the viewers. A fountain plays in the
middle of this garden. The clean grass of the lawn also looks wonderful. In the
morning, when I walk on the grass wet with dew drops, I feel fresh and happy.
These dew drops sparking in the sunshine look like pearls. I daily devote some
of my precious time to the maintenance of my garden. I dig the beds of flowers,
trim the grass and apply manures to the plants.
“I like gardening, its
place, I find myself when I need to love myself.”
Sometimes, I spray the
plants and prune the rose plants. I love to work and sit in my garden and lawn.
My garden is a source of peace and joy for me. I also participate actively in
the plantation scheme of the government every year. I have planted hundreds of
trees at different places throughout the city. After planting these trees i
also take care of them. I wish to make my hobby my carrier. I feel we all
should do things which we enjoy doing. Everyone is running after money and in
this race they give up their liking and preferences. I have learned from this
race and decided not to take part in it. I wish to take the road less crawled
by and take on challenges most people don’t dare to. In short my hobby of
gardening makes me feel alive and well. It is the only thing I look forward the
most to. Thus, I hope to achieve my dream of being a professional garden and
making for people who wish to make careers out of their hobbies.
“My hobby is gardening
because; I love to be connected with nature. Whenever I see flowers,
butterflies on them trees around me I feel joy a kind of pleasure and that
gives some refreshment.”
